Hero MotoCorp handed over 100 motorbikes to the police, patrolled for the safety of women

The country’s largest two wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp. The company is often seen taking various social initiatives, for example, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Nagpur Police Commissionerate and the fire department handed over 60 scooters and 500 helmets. This time Hero 8 also handed over 106 motorcycles to Himachal Pradesh Police Force. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the distribution of bikes for patrolling among the police was completed in Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh. The initiative was taken to ensure that there is no dearth of security for women in Himachal Pradesh.
To prevent criminal activities, 108 bikes will be used for patrolling of women in Hamirpur police station as well as in Chamba, Hamirpur, Una, Bilaspur, Kangra, Sirmaur and Mandi districts. Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Tagore, former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and Director General of Police Sanjay Kundu were present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Anurag Tagore said that the safety of the common man is of utmost importance to the government.
Addressing the women of the state, Anurag Thakur said, “The women of Himachal Pradesh have always given the message of leadership and progress in their lives. Though recently various laws have been amended for the safety of women, but the safety of women in the state needs special attention.” Indian women’s hockey team captain Rani Rampal was the special guest at yesterday’s event
She commented from the stage, “Women can skyrocket if they want. They have proved this time and again in sports. But with our hard work we need the support of family, community and government.”
