Maruti Suzuki Celerio has always won good reviews from the customers due to its mileage. The new generation Celerio was launched in the Indian market in November last year. This time the Jamal, the most fuel efficient car in the country, traveled to the far South African market. According to company sources, the new generation budget hatchback has been manufactured at a Maruti factory in India and exported to that country’s market. The Celerio model sold here will be available in South Africa.

Notable features of Maruti Suzuki Celerio launched in South Africa include 6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, 15-inch alloy wheels, reverse push etc. This car is capable of giving a mileage of about 26.6 kmpl.

Maruti Suzuki Celerio’s 6-inch touchscreen infotainment system supports Android Auto and Apple Car-Play. Safety features include dual airbags, ABS with EBD and hill hold assist. The 1.0 liter petrol engine of Maruti Suzuki Celerio gives 8 bhp power and 69 Nm torque. The car is available as an option for a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission.

Maruti Suzuki Celerio price in India is Rs 7.94 Lakh (ex-showroom). In the domestic market, Maruti Suzuki Celerio competes with Tata Tiago, Hyundai Santro, Datsun GO and Maruti Suzuki WagonR.
