Vivo is preparing to launch its upcoming Vivo X80 flagship series in the market soon. This lineup will include Vivo X80, X80 Pro and X80 Pro Plus models. While not much is known about the Vivo X80, it has been revealed that the X80 Pro and X80 Pro Plus devices will be powered by the Dimensity and Snapdragon chipsets respectively. Now once again, a popular tipster has revealed that the Vivo X80 Pro model powered by Dimension processor will come with Sony IMX8-series camera sensor.

Vivo X80 Pro will have Sony IMX8 series camera sensor

According to the Tipstar Digital Chat Station on Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo, the Sony IMX6 series camera sensor will be used on the device powered by Vivo’s one-dimensional 9000 processor. In that case Vivo X60 Pro is the only upcoming Vivo phone that will come with the aforementioned MediaTek chipset. As a result, the upcoming Vivo X60 Pro smartphone will feature a new IMX6-series or IMX600 sensor.

Furthermore, the tipster said that the IMX7-series sensor will be a 50-megapixel primary unit. Earlier reports said that the Vivo X80 Pro will have a quad-camera setup with 50MP + 12MP + 12MP + 12MP sensor. Earlier reports had said that the Vivo X60 Pro will have a 50-megapixel primary camera, but earlier it was called Sony IMX69 sensor instead of IMX8/IMX600 sensor.

Also, the tipster says that the upcoming phone will also have a V1 image signal processor. Let us tell you, Vivo V1 is a chipset developed by the company which offers various benefits. This chipset can do better image processing and is also capable of high computing power and low power consumption. Currently, Vivo X60’s predecessor Vivo X60 series phones have V1 ISP. This Vivo phone could be one of the first devices in the IMX8 / IMX800 series to have sensors. Smartphone brand Honor is also going to use this sensor in its upcoming phone. A tipster recently claimed that the Honor Magic 4 Pro Plus (Honor Magic 4 Pro+) will have an IMX800 camera sensor.
