We have two new releases from Realme Bangladesh namely Realme 9 and Realme C35. Realme 9 is priced at ৳26,990 and the C35 model will cost you ৳16,990.

Realme 9

Realme 9 comes as a successor of the Popular Realme 8. We have a finer-looking, more minimalistic design, a fine Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and a Gorilla Glass 5 protection. So, it gets a very good mark in terms of design and display.

In the camera section, we have an upgraded 108 MP main back camera sensor and a 16 MP front camera. The back camera quality should be pleasing but there is no 4K video recording option. Still, camera quality is overall quite okay.

Now, it all falls apart in the performance section. There is a Snapdragon 680 chipset. It is by no mean a fitting chipset for a mid-range phone and when it comes to a phone like Realme 9 with much expectation, it doesn’t fit together at all. In fact, the previous Realme 8 had a MediaTek Helio G95 chipset which is more fitting in a mid-range phone and way more powerful than the Snapdragon 680 4G chipset from Qualcomm. If you check out nanoreview, Helio G95 has a gaming score of 32 whereas Snapdragon 680 gets a score of 19 only. There is 8 GB RAM, but it doesn’t cover up for the low-performance chipset.

Realme 9 comes with an optical in-display fingerprint sensor and advanced 24-bit/192kHz audio quality. Despite all of its advantages and fine features, the chipset of this device doesn’t make it a fine mid-range choice. We would rather prefer the older Realme 8 with a lower price than the new Realme 9.

Realme C35

Realme C35 is a lower-budget optio compared to the one mentioned above. The pricing of this phone is comparable to another recently released phone Realme Narzo 50. Narzo 50 costs only which is about ৳500 Tk. less than Realme C35 at this point. Brands including Realme often increase and sometimes decrese the prices of their phones, so, it can be different in the future. But if we compare these phones right now, Narzo 50 is a clear winner and a way better choice than Realme C35. C35 has a clean look whereas Narzo 50 has a more sporty or gaming look. So, it comes down to a matter of individual taste and preference in terms of design. If we get purely technical, Narzo 50 is coming with 120 refresh rate screen and C35 has a regular 60Hz screen. Both have 6.6 inches Full HD+ IPS LCD display but Realme C35 has a Panda Glass protection on top of it, so, you both have some pros and cons here.

The back camera looks similar on both phones but Narzo 50 clearly has a much better front camera. But when it comes to the battery and performance, Narzo 50 is way ahead of Realme C35, in fact, ahead of any other phone in this price range. C35 has a fairly decent Unisoc T616 chipset whereas Narzo 50 has a powerful mid-range Helio G96 chipset. Both have 4 GB RAM but C35 is offering 128 GB storage. So, overall, C35 is still a fine choice, but if gaming and long-term performance is your thing as well as a better front camera, Narzo 50 is the winner.
